The Martin High School Sundancer Drill Team is proud to be under the direction of Christy       DeShazo. She is passionate about students, dance & community. She has over 3 decades of teaching experience in the DFW area winning numerous national championships & many other accolades as well as writing dance & teen leadership curriculum. Ms. DeShazo is longtime American Dance/Drill Team staff member serving in various roles as Staff Captain, choreographer, & judge across the nation. She is a member of the Texas Dance Educators Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F Austin State University where she held a classical dance scholarship all 4 years while earning her degree in dance, history & kinesiology. She began her dance career young with  Kathy Chamberlain, Dallas Ballet Company & Northwest HS Sidekicks Drill Team.
